Missy has a unique emphasis on helping individual leaders understand their faith in light of their work in the world.  She believes deeply in the role of all work, not just nonprofit and church work, as part of God’s unfolding story.

Missy particularly enjoys creating spaces where the line between heaven and earth feels a little thinner. However, Missy also believes in the common grace;  God brings good work into the world through anyone, regardless of religious preference.  Thus, Missy is comfortable making faith as much or as little of the process as the client desires.  

Missy understands the reality of burnout. Having recently taken a sabbatical and walked a 500 mile pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago, she cares deeply about rhythms and work pacing for individuals and teams.

Leadership includes former Managing Director of Redeemer City to City. Previously, she was the Founder and Executive Director of Nashville Institute for Faith and Work. Before that, Missy worked at The Boston Consulting Group, Time Warner, and Bank of America in Chicago, NYC, Singapore, Bangkok and Charlotte. She also worked for a decade in a high school she helped start.

Missy has been married for 31 years and lives with her husband in Nashville, TN. 

She has three grown children living in Denver, New York City, and Nashville.  When she is not working, she most enjoys hiking, spending time with her red standard poodle, Lou, and international adventures (especially if they include mountains or Scuba).
